Looking so far at the “positive side”, the question “Why we are” musty also be answered by some criteria for exclusion, or at least issues that are not priority
- The simple utilisation of arts as means of “presenting” scientific work or the results thereof – such presentation is valuable but not the present focus
- While design is surely part of it, there will be no interest in commercials etc.
- Analysis of arts as matter of history of arts and the like is not of primary interest; still, such orientation may play a role in understanding developments characterising the way art and science are interwoven, developing and reflecting the zeitgeist.
